The car in question was a very ancient Honda Accord automatic, as old as the hills and one of the most dependable vehicles that I've ever driven. I knew that the next car I bought would be a Honda model, because despite having owned offerings from plenty of other manufacturers, no vehicle had ever come close to the quality and reliability of the Accord.
Living in Strathblane means that I demand a lot from any car that finds itself on my driveway, especially in the warmer weather when there's nothing more satisfying than taking a spin in the countryside. Despite being on its way to retirement the Accord imbued every journey with a sense of satisfaction, largely owing to its impeccable handling and punchy performance.
When it came to getting my hands on a new Honda, Glasgow was my destination. I had browsed online and found an absolutely excellent price on a new S2000, and who was I to refuse a convertible car when it could be mine for a compellingly low cost? But I have to confess, the price wasn't the only thing that attracted me. I went to bed that night dreaming of all the country roads that I would conquer with the roof down and the breeze in my hair, and come morning I was like a child on Christmas Day!
